Made from Textile and Plastic Waste
Circular solutions, Ethical production, & Radical transformation

Made from
Material Waste
Retaso, meaning scrap fabric in Filipino, is a 100% Filipina led studio dedicated to using waste as a resource through cultural based practices in order to repurpose what would have otherwise been thrown away, in an effort to protect our natural world.
7,200 pieces of plastic & 18 sqm. of textile waste repurposed*
Each bag we produce is composed of 72 pieces of upcycled plastic and 1.78 yards of textile waste. We aim to keep experimenting on ways we can repurpose waste, with the goal of keeping them out of our local environments.
*per 100 bags
100% local and circularly made
All material waste is donated and collected by local fashion businesses and our ever supportive community. The waste is then converted into prodcuts through the communities of friends we support in Pasig, Caloocan, and Bulacan, Philippines. It takes a village to create amazing things, and we value creating long term partnerships in every aspect and stage of our jouney in waste-led design, with our donors, team members, and of course, you.
